THE University of Nigeria,Nsukka (UNN) to graduate about 15,904 students at its 44th convocation ceremony which has been scheduled to hold on the `19th to 25th January, 2015.
The 15,904 UNN students would be awarded degrees, diplomas and certificates.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Professor Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba, who made know to schoolwatch.com.ng grapevine said that the institution is set to graduate 15,904 students at its 44th convocation just as he stated that his administration would reposition the institution to regain its pride of place.
Professor Ozumba who stated this at the pro-convocation press briefing, held at the Enugu Campus of the university, said its founders had called for an institution that would raise a working class of Nigerians with a patriotic and productive mindset to drive the economic and political advancement of the country and the black world.
The Vice-Chancellor, however, disclosed that a breakdown shows that Ph.D had 331; Masters Degree, 1,168; Postgraduate Diploma, 177; first degree, 14,015 and Diploma, 213.
“I made a personal resolve to promote, reward and institutionalize excellence that is why this 44th convocation is unique as it hinged on excellence. Excellence is the key in the present administration,” he said.
