UNN Students Protest Sudden Closure Of School

Breaking news reaching schoolwatch.com.ng has it that, Some Students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, on Monday protested against the sudden closure of the institution..

It will be recalled that the University administration had earlier in the day shut down the school and order its students to vacate the school campus with immediate effect.

Students and staff of the university had for some weeks now faced acute water scarcity and erratic power supply.

However, a student, who spoke to our correspondent, said there is currently a serious rampage by angry students.

She said trouble had started when the university authority put up measures to enforce the closure, a development she said elicited violent reaction from students.

“There is confusion everywhere as the students are moving around violently; everybody is running helter-skelter”
