Unilorin Students To Promote Google On Campus

The two Google’s Student Ambassadors (GSA) for the 2014/2015 academic session, Itodo Ene Patience and Olasupo Abideen of the University of Ilorin, have pledged their readiness to collaborate with the University management, to organise programmes and events for staff and students to acquaint them with new Google products and features, as well as create awareness about Google opportunities.

The two students, who were chosen after a competitive selection process conducted by Google, told Unilorin Bulletin that they had lined up a number of activities for the 2014/2015 academic session.

These include, registration of Google Students’ Club; Career Service and Empowerment; Google+ Hangout on Air with notable personalities drawn from within and outside the country; Unilorin Geo Walk/Mapping Event; Introduction of Google opportunities (Google Cloud Developers Challenge, Google Online Marketing Challenge, Youtube monetization, and Google Students’ Ambassador Programme) to the students.
