Latest report reaching schoolwatch.com.ng has it that the Academic Staff Union of University, University of Jos has suspend its three months-old industrial action it embarked on since October 2015 and have unanimously resolved to get back to work
The decision by the UNIJOS Academics Union to return to work was arrived yesterday afternoon after a closed door meeting with ASUU.
The suspension of the strike was heralded by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Unijos, Mr Abdullahi Adullahi.
Announcing this on his facebook page, Mr Abdullahi Adullahi said ”ASUU Unijos Suspends Strike Action. Details later.”
This is definitely cheering news to all prospective students of the institution and thousands of successful applicants who wrote the 2015 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination awaiting the release of the 2nd admission list.
