A 25-year old primary school teacher has been stabbed to death by thugs in the Katsina State capital, Daily Trust gathered.
The victim, Bishir Sagir, was attacked Tuesday night at Sabuwar Unguwa as he returned from Islamiyya school. Spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, said the incident occurred following a clash between two rival groups of popularly known as “Kauraye”.
“There was a clash between two Kauraye groups and three of them were injured but one died at the hospital,” he said.
He said two persons have been arrested in connection to the attack and investigation has commenced.
A relative of the deceased, Mallam Ibrahim, called on security agents to apprehend other perpetrators of the attack and ensure that they are brought to justice.
“It is heartbreaking to receive such information. Bishir was hardworking, religious and very patient,” he said.
