The Federal College of Education (FCE), Osiele community has been thrown into mourning following the death of a 200 level student of Integrated and Computer Science Education, identified as Oluwatobiloba Adeniyi.
Liveschoolnews.com.ng grapevine gathered that the decease, Oluwatobiloba Adeniyi, was reportedly killed by a reckless driver.
The incident,as gathered by liveschoolnews, happened during the week, when the student was participating in a programme tagged rag day as part of activities marking the Students’ Union Week of the institution.
Adeniyi was reported to have been knocked down by the killer driver in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, (Agro Services division) at Asero area of the state, at about 7.20am on that fateful day.
An impeccable source disclosed to our correspondent that the driver, who lost control while on top speed, veered off the road and thereby ran into the victim.
The source, however, added that the student was on the walk path on the road while the bad incident happened.
It was further gathered that the driver of the ill-fated Volvo car was travelling from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The victim was said to have breathed his last at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, on the same day.
It was also learnt that the killer driver had, since, been in police custody over the matter.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
