Police Nap 3 Poly Students Over Arm robbery In Ondo

The Ondo State police command have apprehended three students of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), for alleged armed robbery while five others were arrested over cult activities.

The students of the polytechnic arrested by security agents include: Akinbogun Blessing, 21 of the Department of Public Administration ND 11; Fasanu Tolulope, 24 of the Department of Business Administration ND11 and Alabi Oluwaseun, 26, of the Department of Business Administration ND ( PT III).

schoolwatch.com.ng grapevine gathered that, the suspected armed robbers were arrested with dangerous weapons such as guns, knives, charms and axes among others by police detectives in the state.

While confessing, Fasanu stated that he was initiated into secret cult in 2013, by one Temitope Adeyeye and others and said the group had been involved in many operations within and outside Owo, including rape and robbery.

Some of the items recovered in his house in Owo, include one short. locally made gun loaded cartridge, one battle dagger and one battle cutlass.

They all confessed to had robbed students, who live off campus of their property, including laptops, ATM cards and raping some of the female students during their operations.

Contacted, the police image maker, Wole Ogodo, said that other suspects in Police custody include, Wale Ilori ,29, Abayomi Oluwafemi, 16, Eze Ogokwe, Taiwo Segun 16 and Ifeanyi Obi.
