The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has restored the accreditation of programmes of the Crown Polytechnic Odo, Ado Ekiti.

The board had on August 2, 2013, withdrawn accreditation earlier granted the institution for allegedly running satellite campuses in defiance to the directive of the regulatory body.

This was contained in a statement signed by NBTE Executive Secretary, Dr Adamu Kazaure.

Kazaure maintained that the polytechnic’s accreditation was restored following “fresh findings” that the school complied with the order directing that all satellite campuses must be shut down.

The NBTE boss added that a letter has been sent to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board to allow the institution admit students for the 2014/2015 academic session.
