FUT Minna Withdraws 28 Masters Degree Students Over Poor Performance

Authorities of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, has withdrawn 28 Masters’ Degree students of the university for various offences.

In the university’s statement made available to our grapevine, the withdrawal of the students was approved at the 398th Senate meeting of the university.

The university’s bulletin issued by the Head of Information and Publication unit of the university, Lydia Legbo stated that the students were withdrawn for various offences ranging from over staying the studentship allowable period of semester to poor academic performance.

The analysis of those withdrawn showed that one of the students over stayed, four of the students voluntary absented themselves from examination without permission while 23 others were withdrawn based on poor academic performance.

Also, the analysis showed that eight of the students were pursuing masters in Civil Engineering, eight Masters in Disaster Risk Management, three Masters in Telecommunication Engineering while Chemical and Electronic and Electrical Engineering has two students each.

Similarly, a student each were withdrawn from the department of Estate Management and Valuation, Biochemistry and Geology all pursuing Masters in Technology.
