First Bank Donates Vehicle To FUTA

To further strengthen the existing relationship between the Federal University of Technology, Akure and the First Bank of Nigeria, the bank recently donated one Eighteen Seater bus to the University.

Speaking on behalf of the Bank, the Business Manager, Public Sector, Akure, Mrs. Olubukola Tolu-Akinbogun said the donation was in fulfillment of the promise made to the University. She said the Bank was appreciative of the relationship with the institution and commended the patronage the bank has enjoyed from the University.


In his remarks Mr. Timothy Arowoogun, Group Head West 2, said the gesture was an opportunity to serve, saying that the bank was at the forefront in rendering support and enhancing private/public partnership. He expressed the hope that FUTA management and the Bank will nurture future relationship for the mutual benefit of both parties.

Receiving the vehicle the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebiyi Daramola, praised the efforts of the Bank. According to him the relationship between FUTA and First Bank of Nigeria dates back to 20 years. He also urged the Bank to do more to foster the mutual relationship. In a vote of thanks the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Modupe Ajayi lauded the gesture and prayed for more mutual and sustainable relationship.
