The Federal Government, yesterday, reiterated its commitment to address all the challenges faced by public polytechnics in the country.

This is in view of the seven months old strike embarked upon by Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, to press home their demands for improved pay.

Chairperson, Presidential Committee on NEEDS Assessment of Nigeria Public Polytechnics, Hajiya Fatimah Ahmad, who spoke at a one-day training for the purpose of the verification of public polytechnics in Nigeria, said the committee would also address the issue of dichotomy between degree and Higher National Diploma, HND, holders.
