The Federal College Of Education Pankshin, The College lives by her motto Excellence in Service and this piece captures in brief the achievements recorded in the last eight (8) years.

About one hundred and twenty five kilometres North-East of Jos, the capital of Plateau state is a very important centre of Academic Excellence. This institution is the Federal College of Education, Pankshin established over thirty two years ago. The College started as the Federal Advanced Teachers College (FATC) in 1974 at a temporary site in Mararaba Pushit, some 17 kilometres to Pankshin town.

From a humble beginning determined to achieve Academic Excellence, the College started its activities with a set of 100 foundation students. By September 1977, the College was movedto its permanent site which is 3 kilometres to Pankshin town. Since then, the College has continued to witness steady growth and increase in students enrolment to meet the aspirations of Government in teacher training.

Before now, very little was known or heard about this institution which has trained highly qualified teachers for the nation, except for recent events in the last eight years under the leadership (Provost) of Professor David Longwap Wonang, who has turned the fortunes of the College around for the better.

Admission Requirements

*.All candidates who made Federal College of Education, Pankshin as their first and second choice and obtained a minimum score of 150 and above for NCE programmes and 180 and above for B.ED programme in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in ApriL 2013 are invited for screening exercise in the College on the 30 July 2013

.Similarly, candidates who did not make FCE Pankshin their choice but are now seeking for a change of institution to FCE Pankshin for the NCE or B-Ed programmes for 2013/2014 are also eligible for the screening.

.Candidates who did PRE-NCE in the College and wish to continue the NCE programme are exempted from the screening exercise.

26th July, 2013

Method Of Application

All candidates are required to use their JAMB registration number to pay the sum of N2.500 only including Bank charges from the following Banks:

*.Unity Bank of Nigeria Plc,
*.Union Bank of Nigeria,
*.UBN, Plc
*.United Bank for Africa, UBA, Plc.

Confirmation order pin number will be given by the Banks on payment, which is to be used to log on to the College website: www.fcepankshin.org to complete the Bio-data form and print out their confirmation slips.

The confirmation slips shall be used alongside their original credentials including JAMB slips during the screening exercise.

Candidates are to note that the College website will be closed on the midnight of 26th July, 2013

Candidates are not allowed to bring cell phones or other electronic gadgets into the screening venue.
