Benue State University To Graduate 9, 340

Authorities of the Benue State University on Thursday said that 9, 340 students would be awarded Bachelor’s Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Degrees and Honorary Degrees degrees, at its 14th and 15th combined convocation ceremonies scheduled for Jan. 17.

The vice chancellor of the university, Professor Charity Angya, stated this at the pre convocation press conference held at the institution’s auditorium on Wednesday.

The VC gave the breakdown as follow; 7, 832 first degree, 1, 104 post graduate, 346 master degrees and 58 doctorate degrees.

Professor Angya further disclosed that the institution would confer honourary degrees on two prominent sons of the state; Justice James Ogebe and late Senator Joshua Adagba, stressing that, ‘during the 14 and 15 combined convocation ceremonies, a new chancellor would be installed in person of HRH Dr Lawal Hassan Gunmi, Sarkin Mafara Gummi, the Emir of Gummi.

While appreciating the state governor, Dr Gabriel Suswam for his administration support towards the institution, the VC hinted that the Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFund, has assisted in several ways in changing physical landscape of the university.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity A. Angya, OON, FSONTA, on behalf of Senate, Staff and Students of Benue State University, invites the University Community, Graduands and the general public to the 14th and 15th Combined Convocation Ceremonies of the University.
