Asuu Strike: UNIPORT Withdraws From Protest, Order Students To Resume on 8th Dec. 2013

The Management of the University of Portharcourt (UNIPORT) considered the directive of the Federal Government on resumption of duty on or before December 9 by Academic Staff in Federal Universities.

The school management has decided that academic activities in the University should resume on 8th december, 2013.

The directive As gathered in an STV report on December 3rd, the university of portharcourt have joined other universities like UNN, FUTO, EBSU, EKSU, AAUA, UNIZIK, UNIJOS, AAU etc to obey the directive.

The directive calling for reopening of the institution is directing the students to resume in their own interest on 8th of December 2013.

However, the ASUU congress of the institution today unanimously resolved not to have anything to do with the resumption by the institution until the federal government implement the 2009 agreement it had with the union.
