The National Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) is about to consider the offer made to the leaders of the union at a meeting it is holding in Benue state.
According to the publicity secretary of the union, Clement Chirman, who spoke to our correspondent from the venue of the meeting, the ASUP and Federal Government met yesterday and were offered what they had been previously offered.
It is the decision of the union on the government’s offer that will decide whether the union will suspend or continue its months old strike.
He said the consideration of the government’s offer is the next thing on the meeting’s agenda.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed report has it that the polytechnic lecturers has vow to continue its months old strike.
