ASUP Strike: Would Poly Lecturers Suspend Strike By June 24th?

Would the Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics, (ASUP) and College of Education Academic Staff Union, (COEASU) suspend its prolonged Strike by 24th June, 2014?

There are indications that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics and their College of Education counterpart may have agreed to suspend the 10 months old strike.

According to the Senate President of NAPS. Comr Salahudeen A Lukman the strike would end by the 24th of June 2014. And also the lingering HND/Bsc disparity is about to end.

Below is what was posted via his facebook page. “Asup strike: Update Internal source confirmed that all polytechnics resumes officially on 24th June, 2014 after Asup Meeting with FG to sign MoU and her regular NEC Meeting holding at Yaba Tech, Glory to God, the End is near.

HND/Bsc Dichotomy Committee report with favorable Reconmendation such as B.Tech for polytechnic is also signed and submited for implementation.
