ASUP strike: Students beg Jonathan to come to their aid.

Filed in EDUCATION NEWS by on March 20, 2014 0 Comments

I want to call on the President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, to wade into the ongoing strike embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP). Since the strike began on October 4, 2013, it seems nothing is being done to meet the demands of the lecturers.

Many students are now beginning to ruminate that the government itself class polytechnic education as second class. This was not the case when members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) embarked on their strike last year. I am, therefore, calling on Dr Jonathan to come to our aid as soon as possible.

The media are also biased. They have fail the polytechnics students.

God help us.
