Report reaching schoolwatch.com.ng news desk has that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics,(ASUP) and New Education Minister, Shekarau are meeting at the Federal Ministry of Education to resolve all contending issues between the parties.
It would be recalled that Former governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, was sworn as Minister of Education by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday.
The president noted that the new ministers would no longer sleep as they would have to learn the workings of their new responsibilities.
“In a football match, when you get to the injury time and a player is brought in, you expect goals. This government has less than a year to go and you’ve been brought in this time, so you know why you’ve been brought in. You’ve no time to sleep,” Jonathan said.
