ASUP Strike: Adamawa State Polytechnic Lecturer Refuse To Resume

Academic activities are yet to commence at the Adamawa State Polytechnic Following the return to work directive to lecturers and students issued by the Rector, Professor Umar Bobboi.

It would be recall that the authorities of the Polytechnic had on June 12 directed all lecturers and students of the institution to resume on Monday, 16th June, 2014.Lecturers in the University as members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP had participated in the strike until the directive from the authorities of the polytechnic. grapevine gathered that students who obey the directive were left unattended by their respective lecturers.

Students were seen loitering or discussing in groups.

Speaking exclusively to grapevine the ASUP Chairman of the institution Mr.Colman Goji said that strike continues as far as their demands are yet to be made.
