Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has instituted a new software for the successful conduct of 2014/2015 compute-based post UTME exercise.
Professor Moses Adamu, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) made the disclosure at the weekend while briefing journalists on the conduct of the post UTME at the university’s main campus.
He said the software was the first of its kind in Nigerian, adding: “We are glad to inform you that efforts by the university authorities to have a software for the conduct of post UTME exam have been very successful. Last year, we had a nasty experience when we contracted the exercise to an outside company. It was terrible because we wasted a lot of time. The post UTME committee members took it upon themselves to work with the ICT unit of the university to come up with the method of doing the work and the new software”.
He added that ABU is designing another software that would allow students to write the post UTME from their homes.
