Abia Poly Admits 5,250 Students Out Of 10,000 Applicants For 2014/2015

Report emanating out from the Abia State Polytechnic has it that the institution admit 5,250 students out of 10,000 students that applied to the institution for the 2014/2015 academic session.

The Rector of the institution, Elder Allwell Onukaogu who made this know during the matriculation ceremony of the institution, charged the students to imbibe the core virtues of hard work, discipline and unfettered dedication to their studies in order to excel in their academic pursuit and contribute meaningfully to providing workable solutions to some pressing challenges facing the nation.
Elder Allwell advised the new students eschew cultism, truancy, plagiarism and other vices capable of posing serious threats to the realization of their primary objective of seeking admission into the institution, even as he re-echoed the avowed resolve of the Management of Abia State Polytechnic to continue in its current practice of embarking on laudable initiatives and policies that will foster the delivery of qualitative higher education to its students.

Continuing, the  Rector of the institution noted “Your critical thinking and analytical faculties must be developed; you must be able to tolerate and consider the viewpoints of other people. Choose your friends carefully – avoid irresponsible behaviours – drugs, cultism, and alcoholism are not tolerated; take your Matriculation Oath seriously.
