5 Students Of MAPOLY In Court Over Possession Of Firearms

Report stemming out from the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State has it that Five students of the institution, were, on Friday, arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital over alleged illegal possession of firearms.

Our correspondents learnt that the five students are members of a secret society, called Black Axe.

The accused persons faced a three-count charge of conspiracy,unlawful possession of firearms and being members of a secret society, Black Axe, which is contrary to Section 3 and punishable under Section 5 of the secret cult (prohibition and special prohibition) laws of Ogun State 2006.

The five students arraigned in a suit number MA/781c were Olawale Olaniyi, Adeyemi Azeez, Olufalo Bidemi, Osilaja Hammed and Bashorun Sodiq.
